This textbook was used for a nationwide course
entitled "Telecommunications Network Design" as offered by Southern
Methodist University (as EE6303) and National Technological University
(as TM711-N) from 1993 through 2003. The course employed distance education technologies.
Many students have also taken this course in several foreign countries using delayed video
tapes or the FreeECourse provided on this website. Several foreign universities in Europe and Australia also provided
similar courses based on this textbook and/or the 1990 textbook also written
by the Author. This latest textbook comes
with a diskette containing the educational version ( which has the capability
to design/model networks with up to 250 nodes) and all the supporting files
described in the textbook. Therefore, the textbook can be used for an hands-on
training at one's own pace.
